ARE THERE ANY RECOMMENDED COURSE PACKAGES?
A lot of our courses are designed to be complementary and suitable packages will depend on the desired outcome. If you are looking to become a barista but lack any experience, we would recommend to start with the Basic Espresso course followed by the Barista Apprenticeship. If you are already a barista but want more specialty coffee training, we recommend you combine the Advanced Espresso course with the Head Barista or Palate Development course.

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE ANY OF THE AVAILABLE COURSE DATES?
Please get in touch via our contact page and we will be happy to work out a solution for you. With enough notice, we have managed to accommodate various course dates for people.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. All bookings made through the website use Square as the payment gateway. Please get in touch if you would like to use alternative payment methods.
HOW DO I GET HERE?
There are several ways to get to our training academy. The easiest way is by car - we are right off the Eastlink freeway and easily accessible through various other routes. We recommend searching for Melbourne Coffee Academy on Google Maps.
If you are taking public transport, we would recommend catching a train to Oakleigh Station then taking the 693 bus to get here. This is followed by a leisurely 20 minute walk through Caribbean Park. Many have made the journey successfully and we assure it will be well worth it!
Another alternative is catching the train to Glen Waverley Station then catching an Uber to get here. Estimated cost for the ride is $20.
CAN I RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL MY COURSE?
All courses can be rescheduled for free as long as it is more than 48 hours before the booking. This can easily be done through the confirmation email sent after the initial booking. Anything after that time will incur a $80 rescheduling fee.
All courses can be cancelled and refunded as long as it is more than 48 hours before the booking. Anything less than that will forfeit the entire course fee. The recommended option would be to reschedule the course instead. Please refer to our terms & conditions for more information.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY COURSE?
We understand unforeseen circumstances can happen. If you missed your course you can reschedule within 5 days, incurring a $80 rescheduling fee. Please refer to our terms & conditions for more information.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO SIGN UP FOR A COURSE?
We recommend a minimum age of at least 14 years old unless accompanied by an adult. We pride ourselves on being a child safe environment and all our trainers are qualified with a Working with Childrens Check.
IS A CERTIFICATE PROVIDED ON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE?
Yes! The certificate will be emailed through within 48 hours of course completion.
WHAT COFFEE MACHINE AND GRINDERS ARE USED?
We use a La Marzocco Linea PB espresso machine and Victoria Arduino Mythos One and Mahlkonig EK43s grinders.
CAN I PURCHASE GIFT VOUCHERS FOR THE COURSES?
Yes you can definitely purchase a gift voucher for one of our courses. Please get in touch and we can work through the details with you.
