1.0 CANCELLATION POLICY

1.1 Barista Apprenticeship

  • Due to the duration and extensiveness of the program, The Barista Apprenticeship can only be cancelled 7 days before the commencement of the program.

  • Any cancellations before the 7 day period will incur a cancellation fee of $495 per person.

  • Any courses cancelled within 48 hours of the booking will forfeit the entire course fee.

  • All cancellation requests must be emailed via our contact page.

1.2 Barista Masterclass

  • Due to the duration and extensiveness of the program, The Barista Masterclass can only be cancelled 7 days before the commencement of the program.

  • Any cancellations before the 7 day period will incur a cancellation fee of $750 per person.

  • Any cancellations within 48 hours of the start date will forfeit the entire course fee.

  • All cancellation requests must be emailed via our contact page.

1.3 All other Barista Courses

  • This refers to the “Basic Espresso”, “Latte Art”, “Advanced Espresso”, “Filter Coffee”, “Coffee Appreciation”, “Online: Home Barista”, “Head Barista” and “Practice Session” Courses.

  • All mentioned barista courses can be cancelled as long as it is more than 48 hours before the booking. 

  • All cancellation requests must be emailed via our contact page.

2.0 REFUNDS

  • If a refund is approved, the refund shall be returned to you by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

  • Any refunds will be less the transaction fees of 2.2% incurred by Melbourne Coffee Academy.

 

3.0 RESCHEDULING POLICY

3.1 Barista Apprenticeship

  • Due to the duration and extensiveness of the program, The Barista Apprenticeship can only be rescheduled 7 days before the commencement of the program.

  • Any reschedule requests before the 7 day period will incur a fee of $495 per person.

  • Once the Barista Apprenticeship program has started, it cannot be rescheduled.

  • Any reschedule requests once the program has started will incur a fee of $390 per person.

  • All rescheduling requests must be emailed via our contact page.

3.2 Barista Masterclass

  • Due to the duration and extensiveness of the program, The Barista Masterclass can only be rescheduled 7 days before the commencement of the program.

  • Any reschedule requests before the 7 day period will incur a fee of $700 per person.

  • Once the Barista Masterclass has started, it cannot be rescheduled.

  • Any reschedule requests once the program has started will incur a fee of $590 per person.

  • All rescheduling requests must be emailed via our contact page.

3.3 All other Barista Courses

  • This refers to the “Basic Espresso”, “Latte Art”, “Advanced Espresso”, “Filter Coffee”, “Coffee Appreciation”, “Online: Home Barista”, “Head Barista” and “Practice Session” Courses.

  • All mentioned barista courses can be rescheduled as long as it is more than 48 hours before the booking.

  • The rescheduling of these courses more than 48 hours in advance can easily be done via the confirmation email sent after the initial booking.

  • Rescheduling any course within 48 hours of the booking will incur a $80 fee per person.

  • All courses rescheduled within 48 hours of the booking must be emailed through via our contact page.

4.0 ABSENTEES

  • Students who fail to attend their booked course must reschedule a new course date within 5 days.

  • All rescheduling of courses must be emailed via our contact page.

  • Failure to re-book a new course within 5 days of the original booked course date will result in forfeiture of the entire course fee.

5.0 GIFT CARD POLICY

  • Gift Cards are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and must be redeemed within this 12 month period. Every gift card will state its expiry.

  • Failure to redeem the gift card before the expiry date will result in forfeiture of the entire gift card fee.

  • Gift cards can only be refunded within 7 days of the purchase date.

6.0 PACKAGES POLICY

  • All packages do not have an expiry date.

  • Packages can only be refunded within 1 month of the purchase date.

  • Once the first course of the package has been completed, it cannot be refunded.

7.0 COVID-19 POLICY

If you feel unwell, or show even mild cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sneeze, runny nose, etc), please do not attend any of our courses

  • This policy covers the cancellation, refund and attendance of all our courses due to COVID-19

  • Due to the importance of public health, exceptions will be made for COVID-19 related issues that arise.

  • Under these conditions, all courses can be rescheduled in the event of COVID-19 related sickness.

  • All rescheduling requests must be emailed via our contact page.

  • Once a course has been rescheduled due to COVID-19, it cannot be cancelled without the conditions laid out in section 1.0 of this page.
